Josh Madison — Ridgecrest Photographer

Living at the doorstep of the Eastern Sierra mountain range, I find inspiration minutes from home. An outdoorsman since childhood, I blend a love of hiking, camping, and fishing with a passion for photography. I specialize in night sky photography — Milky Way, star trails, meteor showers — while also offering real estate, sports action, photo booth and portrait services.

I officially became a full-time photographer in June 2025 after departing my last job. It has been a blessing to have the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people since going full-time.

I have always had a love for photography while shooting a multitude of cameras over my lifetime. It wasn’t until 2021 that I became serious about learning photography. I quickly mastered Manual Mode and learned so much more while building a portfolio of images.

I find photography to be a relaxing mechanism to help deal with the everyday stress we go through. Photography is a natural therapy and good for our health. I enjoy getting outdoors exploring with my camera and sometimes a nice surprise arises. Patience is the names of the game in photography, so be ready to relax and wait for the shot.
